The output and diversity of Mira Lu Kovacs are beyond. Since 2013, every year sees one or two albums of the multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and composer. Be it as the mastermind of her trio Schmieds Puls, as the voice of avantgardistic supergroup 5K HD , on grungy guitars with My Ugly Clementine , as creator of a corporate design for Viennas famous Belvedere Museum and so forth.

And still, What Else Can Break is a debut. It’s the first recording she releases her own, mother-given name. Nobody stays untouched by Kovacs’ songs. What Else Can Break is a endlessly beautiful survival album; a musical shelter; providing both a darkness and a place to feel safe at.

For a post-patriarchal age, Mira Lu Kovacs makes it clear: To show feelings is empowering. Radical softness is a tool of rebellion. Kovacs‘ pain makes us feel that this shitty world is worth living in. Off you go; gloomy, light-footed, calming, grieving, winking, lively.

A best-of of Viennas vibrant scene has been collaborating on the production: Amadeus Award Producer of the Year Marco Kleebauer (Leyya, Bilderbuch, Oehl), three time Grammy-Nominee Yakob, and foremost European Independent Album Of The Year-Producer Sophie Lindinger (Leyya, My Ugly Clementine) produced a large part of the album.
